49-Year-Old Woman Commits Suicide In Ogun

In Ogun State, a tragic incident has occurred as a 49-year-old woman, Mrs. Idowu Victoria, reportedly took her own life.

According to reports, she hanged herself from the ceiling fan inside her room in the Magboro area of the state.

The case was brought to the attention of the Ibafo Divisional Police Officer on Sunday by her son, Idowu Qudus, from Gan-un town in Magboro, as confirmed by Police spokesperson Omolola Odutola.

Upon receiving the report, the police swiftly responded to the scene, although no suicide note was discovered. The authorities documented the scene with photographs as part of their investigation.

In response to this tragic event, Ogun State's Commissioner of Police, Alamutu Abiodun, emphasized the importance of seeking professional help for individuals in need of emotional support.

Odutola stressed the unlawfulness of suicide, highlighting the critical need for mental health sufferers to receive adequate support from their families to prevent such devastating outcomes.
