A 94-year-old man, Pa Adedapo Idowu, has registered for this year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in pursuit of his lifelong dream of studying Political Science at the University of Ibadan.
Idowu completed his registration at the JAMB Professional Test Center in Ibadan, Oyo State, and commended the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for the seamless and technology-driven registration process.
Speaking with journalists, he expressed his initial fears about returning to school at his advanced age but said his interaction with JAMB had given him confidence to sit for the examination. He lauded the Board’s use of technology, particularly the integration of the National Identification Number (NIN), and praised the staff for their welcoming attitude.
