Accused killer Daniel Billings' alleged campaign of terror against Molly Ticehurst before her death
Molly Ticehurst, 28, was allegedly murdered by her ex-boyfriend, Daniel Billings, 29, at their shared home in Forbes, Australia. Before her death, Molly endured three months of alleged abuse by Billings, including rape, harassment, and property destruction.
According to reports, Molly and Billings had been in an 18-month relationship until July the previous year but briefly reconciled in December. However, their reunion was marked by a series of disturbing incidents that led to Billings facing court over multiple charges related to abuse against Molly between January and April of the following year.
Court documents detailed three alleged instances of rape, four counts of stalking and harassment, as well as assaults on Molly's property, including her car windows and her pet dachshund. Despite these charges, Billings was initially granted bail on April 6 but was ordered not to approach Molly.
Tragically, Molly was found dead on April 22, just 15 days after Billings was released on bail. Police allege that Billings breached his bail conditions and the restraining order by violently murdering Molly in the early hours of the morning. Emergency services discovered her body following concerns raised about her welfare.
Following his arrest, Billings' bail was revoked, and he was charged with murder. Reports also mentioned instances of alleged stalking, intimidation, and further rape incidents throughout the months leading up to Molly's death.
The community in Forbes expressed shock and sadness over Molly's death, with neighbors recalling hearing loud arguments from the couple's home in the past. Floral tributes were placed outside her shattered-windowed home as police conducted investigations.
Billings' case is set to return to court on June 20 in Orange, Australia.
