Jeremy Williams was found guilty by an Alabama jury on four counts of capital murder for the December 2021 murder of Kamarie Holland, as announced by the Russell County District Attorney on April 12. Williams was subsequently sentenced to death on April 15.
According to prosecutors, Williams paid Kamarie’s mother, Kristy Siple, $2,500 to perform sexual acts with the girl before torturing and killing her. Williams faced charges including capital murder of a child under 14, capital murder during the course of sodomy first, capital murder during the course of kidnapping first, and capital murder during the course of rape. He had previously pleaded guilty to human trafficking, as confirmed by the D.A.’s office.
In March, Siple pleaded guilty to sex trafficking. She is awaiting sentencing.
Kamarie was reported missing by her mother in Georgia on Dec. 13, 2021. Her body was later discovered in a vacant home in Phenix City, Ala. Jurors were shown videos that Williams had taken of the abuse, as detailed by the Ledger-Examiner.
Kamarie’s father, Corey Holland, expressed his sentiments in court following the verdict, stating, “His life compares nothing to Kamarie’s.”
