Army releases Delta monarch arrested over soldiers killings
The Nigerian Army has released the traditional ruler, Clement Ikolo, who was previously declared wanted and arrested in connection with the gruesome murder of 17 soldiers in Delta State on 14 March 2024.
The monarch had been declared wanted by the Defence Headquarters along with seven others for their alleged involvement in the incident. However, he has now been released to Senator Ede Dafianone, who acted as his surety.
The release took place during a brief session at Army Headquarters, presided over by Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, the Director of Army Public Relations.
