Belgium's Princess Elisabeth to attend Harvard University

Crown Princess Elisabeth is set to cross the Atlantic later this year to enroll as a student at the esteemed Harvard University. The 22-year-old, who is poised to become Belgium’s first female Head of State at some point in her life, has successfully passed the admission test for Harvard’s master’s in public policy course.

Currently completing her bachelor’s degree in history and politics at the University of Oxford in the UK, Princess Elisabeth will transition to Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts, this summer.

Having nearly concluded her studies at Lincoln College, Oxford, Princess Elisabeth will sit for her finals this month and next. She is expected to receive her degree certificate during a ceremony scheduled for sometime in the summer. Subsequently, in late August, the Crown Princess will commence her master’s degree studies in public policy at Harvard’s Kennedy School.

This educational journey to the United States is not unprecedented in the Belgian Royal family. Princess Elisabeth's cousin, Prince Joachim, obtained his degree in business administration from Harvard, while King Filip pursued political science studies at Stanford.
