Britney Spears Fires Back at Justin Timberlake for "Talking S--t" at His Concert

A day after the "Cry Me a River" singer seemingly took a swipe at his ex during his January 31 concert, declaring to the audience, "I'd like to take this opportunity to apologize to absolutely f--king nobody" before reportedly delving into his 2002 hit, Britney responded with her own assertive statements.

On February 1, she took to Instagram alongside a photo of the moon framed within a basketball net, stating, "Someone told me someone was talking shit about me on the streets!!! Do you want to bring it to the court or will you go home crying to your mom like you did last time??? I'm not sorry!!!" Amid the turmoil, the "Toxic" singer made her Instagram account private.

Justin has faced renewed scrutiny since the release of Britney's memoir, "The Woman in Me," in October, where she disclosed details of their three-year relationship, including her pregnancy with the *NSYNC alum's child and subsequent abortion. She also revealed that Justin ended their relationship via text in 2002.

Despite this, Britney recently seemed to be attempting to mend fences, praising Justin's new music and reflecting on how her book might have been perceived. In a since-deleted post on January 29, the 42-year-old apologized for some of the book's contents, stating, "If I offended any of the people I genuinely care about, I am deeply sorry." She also expressed her admiration for Justin's new song, "Selfish."

Justin, mostly silent since the release of Britney's book, had previously issued an apology to her following the documentary "Framing Britney Spears."

"I am deeply sorry for the time in my life where my actions contributed to the problem, where I spoke out of turn, or did not speak up for what was right," the 43-year-old wrote on Instagram in 2021. "I understand that I fell short in these moments and many others and benefited from a system that condones misogyny and racism."
