Celine Dion ‘Grateful For the Love’ as She Poses with All 3 Sons on Stiff Person Syndrome Awareness Day

Celine Dion expressed gratitude to her fans and family while raising awareness about the autoimmune disease she has been battling for over a year.

"I am deeply grateful for the love and support from my kids, family, team and all of you!" the 55-year-old singer shared on Instagram, accompanied by a photo with her three sons: René-Charles Angélil, 23, and twins Eddy and Nelson, 13.

Dion revealed, "In the fall of 2022, I was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS)." She acknowledged the challenges of dealing with this autoimmune disorder but remains determined to return to the stage and lead a normal life. She expressed deep gratitude for the support from her kids, family, team, and fans.

"I want to send my encouragement and support to all those around the world that have been affected by SPS. I want you to know you can do it! We can do it!" she concluded, signing off with "Love Celine xx...." The announcement was also shared in French.

Dion first made her diagnosis public in December 2022, opening up about her health struggles in a heartfelt video. She largely stayed out of the public eye until November 2023 when she attended an NHL hockey game in Las Vegas.

Her triumphant return to the stage happened at the recent 66th Grammy Awards, where she presented an award to Taylor Swift and received a standing ovation alongside her eldest son.

Dion's health journey will be documented in an upcoming film titled "I Am: Céline Dion," directed by Irene Taylor and set to be released on Amazon Prime Video later this year.
