Chaotic Brawl Outside Chilean School Leads to Student Running Over His Mother and Rival’s Father

A violent street brawl outside a school in Puente Alto, Chile, escalated into chaos on Thursday, with a student hitting his own mother with a car before deliberately running over the father of a fellow student. The fight, which was captured on video, erupted after an earlier altercation between the two students inside the school.

Following the initial confrontation, the parents were summoned to the school, where tensions exploded into violence. Footage shows multiple people involved in a street brawl, with the student's mother at one point attacking the father of her son’s rival, reportedly stabbing him. As the melee continued, the woman's son, driving a white SUV, accidentally struck her with the vehicle, sending her flying to the ground. He then deliberately plowed into the father of his rival classmate.

In another shocking moment caught on camera, the student drove into the man a second time before exiting the vehicle to kick him while others continued fighting in the street.

Police arrested five adults and two students involved in the brawl, with all seven facing charges including attempted homicide.

“Upon leaving the school, both families began to argue and attack each other, resulting in two people being stabbed and two people being run over by a relative of one of the students,” said Juan Cheuquiante of the Metropolitan South Regional Prosecutor’s Office. He added that those arrested would face charges of attempted homicide, injuries, and damage.

Puente Alto Mayor Germán Codina expressed concern over the escalating violence, stating that prior warnings about violent behavior had been reported but not adequately addressed. In response to the incident, police patrols have been increased at the school during peak hours.
