An American teacher who gained fame on a reality TV series alongside her conjoined twin quietly tied the knot three years ago, 28 years after captivating the world with an appearance on Oprah.

Public records reveal that Abby Hensel, now 34 and from Minnesota, married Josh Bowling, 33, a nurse and army veteran in 2021.

Abby and her sister Brittany, among the few surviving sets of dicephalus twins in history, became famous through their TLC show chronicling major life events like their high school graduation and job hunting.

The twins share a single body, with all organs below the waist, including the intestine, bladder, and reproductive organs, being shared.

In a documentary during their teens, their mother mentioned their desire to have children someday, saying, "That is probably something that could work because those organs do work for them." Brittany agreed, saying, "Yeah, we're going to be moms."

Their relationship with Josh had been low-key until now, as the twins have led a quieter life away from the spotlight in recent years.

The twins have always kept their private life private, and a decade ago, they dismissed a rumor about Brittany's engagement as a "dumb joke." However, they've consistently expressed their desire to have families of their own, emphasizing their individuality despite being conjoined.

Abby and Brittany currently teach fifth-grade math at an elementary school in New Brighton, Minnesota, their hometown, where they've lived a relatively normal life despite their extraordinary circumstances.

The twins are now both fifth grade teachers, according to TODAY. They live in Minnesota, where they were born and raised by their parents, a nurse and a carpenter
