Delta plane flips upside down after crash landing in Toronto

At least nine people were injured Monday when a Delta Air Lines plane crashed while landing at Toronto Pearson International Airport, flipping upside down amid wintry conditions.
The airport confirmed an “incident upon landing” involving Delta Flight 4819, which had arrived from Minneapolis. Emergency crews responded, and all 80 passengers and crew members were accounted for.

The FAA reported that the plane, a CRJ-900 operated by Endeavor Air, crashed around 2:45 p.m. One person was critically injured and airlifted to a trauma center, while a child was taken to a downtown Toronto hospital. The extent of the other injuries remains unclear, though no fatalities have been reported.

A video shared on social media shows the overturned aircraft on the runway with passengers evacuating. The person filming stated, “Our plane crashed. It’s upside down… most people appear to be OK.”
Toronto Pearson Airport has implemented a ground stop, suspending all departures and arrivals. The Transportation Safety Board of Canada will lead the investigation into the crash.
