Dismissed Naval officer arrested for posing as a serving military personnel and charging N20000 to mobilise boys to beat people up
The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended a former Naval officer named Muhammed Tunde for impersonating a serving military personnel. Tunde allegedly charged N20,000 to mobilize individuals to physically assault others.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command's spokesperson, revealed this information on his official handle. Hundeyin stated, "Muhammed Tunde, a former Nigerian Navy personnel dismissed in 2000, masquerading as an active military member, extorts N20,000 to deploy his group for physical assaults."
Tunde was caught in the act while assaulting a hotel staff member. He had been hired by a hotel customer to retaliate against the staff for enforcing the 'no smoking' rule in a designated area of the hotel.
