Disney Channel Star Skai Jackson Arrested for Domestic Battery After Altercation with Boyfriend
Skai Jackson, known for her roles on Disney Channel’s “Jessie” and “Bunk’d,” was arrested last week for domestic battery following an altercation with her boyfriend at Universal CityWalk in Hollywood, California. The incident occurred on August 9, when security reportedly observed the 22-year-old actress pushing her boyfriend multiple times, prompting them to call the police.
According to a representative from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Jackson was detained by security until authorities arrived and reviewed footage of the incident. The video allegedly showed Jackson pushing her boyfriend twice. She was arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery, cited, and released a few hours later.
Despite the footage, both Jackson and her boyfriend denied any physical altercation, claiming they are happily engaged and expecting a baby. The case will now be reviewed by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office to determine if formal charges will be filed.
Reps for Jackson have not yet commented on the situation.
This incident adds Jackson to a list of Disney Channel stars who have faced legal troubles, including Orlando Brown, Mitchel Musso, and Stoney Westmoreland.
