Disturbing video shows revenge-seeking son shoot dad’s accused killer six times, pistol-whip him in courtroom (video)

A shocking video captures the moment a vengeful son opens fire on his father's alleged killer in the middle of a courtroom.

Cristiano Alves Terto, 27, can be seen firing six shots at Francisco Cleidivaldo Mariano De Moura, 38, during a jury session for his father's murder trial in São José do Belmonte, Brazil, as reported by CNN Brasil.

Moments later, De Moura collapses on the floor behind the magistrates’ bench, but Terto rushes around it and furiously strikes him twice in the head with the gun, the video shows.

The footage from inside the courtroom shows Terto rushing towards De Moura with a .38-caliber revolver, firing at least twice while charging at him, causing chaos as jurors and court staff scatter.

Terto continues firing at De Moura from point-blank range as the defendant attempts to seek cover behind a desk. After emptying his six-shooter, Terto furiously strikes De Moura twice in the head with the gun.

The son then flees the courtroom while two women try to pull him away from De Moura in a panic. Terto was later apprehended by police on suspicion of attempted murder, according to the Pernambuco Military Police.

The disturbing incident occurred on Nov. 29, but the video was released to the public on Monday. Terto was arrested the following day and has been in custody since.

Francisco Cleidivaldo Mariano De Moura is seen sitting with his head down moments before being shot at in the courtroom.

De Moura survived the shooting and was transferred to another facility after receiving medical attention.

The motive for Terto's actions stems from De Moura allegedly shooting his father, Francisco Alves, in October 2012, at his home in Lagoa Alexandre. The confrontation reportedly began when De Moura came to inquire about a missing donkey, leading to an altercation where De Moura shot Alves multiple times.

De Moura was able to make his way behind a desk while Terto continued to fire until the six-shooter was empty.

De Moura fled the scene but was later arrested by police. The details surrounding the delay in his trial for the nearly 12-year-old crime remain unclear, as does the timeline for the continuation of the trial.

As of now, De Moura is reported as "alive and free" following the courtroom shooting involving Terto.
