Dozens of Chinese migrants at the US-Mexico border

Startling images and videos captured in California over the weekend depict numerous Chinese migrants arriving in the border town of Jacumba, unabashedly expressing their intent to pursue economic opportunities.

Footage taken by Griff Jenkins of Fox News reveals scores of migrants crossing the international boundary near Jacumba, California, possibly totaling in the hundreds.

'This is one of the largest groups of Chinese migrants I've ever encountered. There were two separate groups crossing in Jacumba, CA simultaneously,' tweeted the correspondent last week.

Since October, US Customs and Border Protection has reported an alarming trend of over 150 Chinese nationals illegally entering the US daily, with the 2023 fiscal year tallying over 37,000 encounters and a staggering 20,000 more since the start of the 2024 fiscal year.

This surge is part of an unprecedented wave of migration witnessed at the Southern Border since 2021, with federal statistics indicating a record influx from various countries.

Border Congressman Tony Gonzales (R, Texas) suggests that the west coast is a favored destination due to the influence of the Sinaloa Cartel and the concentration of Asian American populations in states like California and New York.

Elected officials express concerns over the increasing influx of Chinese nationals and emphasize the importance of due process for asylum seekers, while maintaining a strict stance on illegal immigration and deportation for those who do not qualify.
