A California man was pulled over for driving without headlights and found wearing a "Friday the 13th"-style mask while hiding an illegal AR-15-style rifle in his car, police reported.

Adonay Efriem, 27, was stopped in his gold Toyota Camry late Saturday for the minor infraction, according to Santa Rosa Police. Officers noted Efriem was wearing a "Jason"-style mask and was sweating profusely, appearing very nervous.

The mask was popularized by the character Jason Voorhees in the popular “Friday the 13th” franchise.

An officer then spotted an AR-15-style rifle partially concealed by a blanket in the back seat. Police shared a photo of the weapon, an Eagle Arms Eagle-15 5.56mm semi-automatic rifle, alongside the mask famously worn by Jason Voorhees in the "Friday the 13th" slasher movie franchise. Although the firearm was unloaded, it was an unregistered assault weapon and illegal to possess, police emphasized.

Efriem was arrested without incident and booked into the Sonoma County jail on suspicion of possession of an assault weapon.
