EFCC declares Emefiele’s wife, three others wanted
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced the wanted status of Margaret Emefiele, the spouse of former Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Godwin Emefiele, along with three others, for alleged involvement in money laundering.
Mrs. Emefiele, Mr. Eric Odoh, Anita Omoile, and her husband, Jonathan Omoile, were officially declared wanted on Friday night. They stand accused of colluding with the former CBN Governor in the purported conversion of substantial sums of money belonging to the Federal Government of Nigeria.
The alleged crimes include conspiracy to commit felonies such as obtaining money under false pretenses and theft, contravening Sections 411, 287, and 314 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State.
