Elon Musk Confirms Birth of 12th Child with Neuralink Executive Shivon Zilis
Elon Musk has welcomed a new baby with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis, marking the couple’s third child together and Musk’s 12th overall.
The 52-year-old business magnate addressed the news in an interview with Page Six, clarifying that the birth was not a secret. "All our friends and family know. Failure to issue a press release, which would be bizarre, does not mean ‘secret,’" Musk stated.
The baby’s name and gender have not been disclosed. This addition to Musk’s family was reported earlier this year, following Musk and Zilis’s previous children, twins Strider and Azure, born in November 2021.
Musk’s expanding family includes children with multiple partners. He shares two children with musician Grimes: a son named X Æ A-Xii, born in 2020, and a daughter, Exa Dark Sideræl, born in December 2021. Grimes and Musk also have a third child, Techno Mechanius, who goes by Tau, as confirmed by biographer Walter Isaacson.
Musk’s family also includes twins Griffin and Vivian, and triplets Kai, Saxon, and Damian, from his marriage to Canadian author Justine Wilson. Their first child, Nevada Alexander Musk, tragically died of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome at 10 weeks old.
Musk, a vocal advocate for addressing declining birth rates, has frequently expressed concerns about the potential collapse of civilization due to low birth rates. Following the news of his twins with Zilis in 2022, he tweeted, “Doing my best to help the underpopulation crisis. A collapsing birth rate is the biggest danger civilization faces by far.”
Despite his busy personal life, Musk continues to lead and innovate through his various business ventures, including Tesla, SpaceX, and Neuralink.
