A disturbing incident in Las Vegas has led to the arrest of Fernando Jimenez, 47, who is facing multiple charges for a brutal attack on his ex-wife. According to Clark County Jail records, Jimenez is accused of attempted murder, battery resulting in substantial bodily harm, and domestic battery by strangulation.

The altercation took place on June 12 in far eastern Clark County, away from the city's bustling streets, at the intersection of Lake Mead Boulevard and Pabco Road. Police responded after a woman flagged them down, reporting multiple bruises and head injuries. She recounted a physical altercation with her ex-husband, triggered by the loss of custody of their children.

Witnesses supported the victim's account, describing a verbal argument escalating into violence. Jimenez allegedly choked his ex-wife, pushed her out of a car window, and then dragged her down a hill by her neck and hair. The confrontation stemmed from arguments over homelessness and the recent custody decision by Child Protective Services.

One witness, who had been living with the couple in a vehicle due to eviction, provided details of the incident to the police. Jimenez allegedly made aggressive threats and physically attacked the woman despite her pleas for him to stop. The witness recounted seeing Jimenez shouting threats to kill the victim as he dragged her down the hill.

Police found Jimenez lying on the road with empty beer bottles nearby. Initially cooperative, he later refused to answer questions after leaving the hospital.

During his initial interview, Jimenez claimed he was thrown out of the car window by an unknown man. However, he is now facing serious charges and is being held in Clark County Jail on a $100,000 bond pending arraignment on June 18.
