Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Nasarawa State student dies of injuries after attack by unknown assailants

A 300-level student at the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) in Nasarawa State, Emmanuel Ashim, known as Fly Bee, tragically passed away due to injuries sustained in an attack by unidentified assailants.

Ashim, a student of Theatre and Media Arts, succumbed to his injuries on Sunday afternoon, April 21, 2024.

Reports from the Nasarawa Mirror indicate that Ashim was assaulted by assailants who left him unconscious on the university premises. He was subsequently admitted to the Federal Medical Center (FMC), Keffi, for medical care, where he ultimately passed away. His remains have been placed at the Mortuary in OLA Hospital, Akwanga.

Following the news of his untimely death, fellow students at the university expressed their grief on social media platforms. In a heartfelt Facebook post on Sunday, Ashim's coursemate, Godswill Carthy, lamented the loss and expressed disbelief, hoping for positive updates regarding Ashim's condition.
