Fire Guts a Popular Lagos Church, Household of David

A well-known church, Household of David Church, located at Adeniyi Jones Street, Ikeja Lagos, experienced a fire incident on Wednesday morning. This information was confirmed by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), which reported that the fire was successfully extinguished.

According to NEMA, the fire started around 11 am at the back of the church and was noticed by passersby who alerted the church staff. The disaster management agency also stated that there were no injuries or casualties in the fire incident.

NEMA's statement read, “A fire outbreak at Household of David Church located at Surulere Industrial Road, off Adeniyi Jones Ikeja Lagos, has been successfully put out by responders.

“The fire, which started around 0011 hours at the rear of the church, was not noticed by the church workers but by passersby who drew the attention of the indoor workers to the incident.

“No injuries or casualties were recorded.

“The church had organized a 5-day crusade starting from this evening at 1700 and ending on the 4th of February, 2024.
