Fire Razes Minister's residence in Abuja

The private residence of Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), was engulfed in flames on Sunday afternoon.

Despite a delayed emergency response, the property situated at No. 9, Justice Roseline Ukeji Close in the upscale neighborhood of Asokoro, suffered irreparable damage with nothing salvaged.

Mr. Austin Elemue, Special Adviser on Media to the Minister, confirmed the incident, stating that the cause of the fire remained unknown and was under investigation by relevant authorities.
