Football Legend Roberto Baggio Robbed at Gunpoint During Euro 2024 Match
Retired Italian football star Roberto Baggio faced a terrifying ordeal when at least five armed robbers invaded his villa near Vicenza, Italy, as he watched Italy's Euro 2024 match against Spain.

During the robbery, one of the intruders struck the 57-year-old former player on the head with a gun, causing an injury that required stitches. The attackers then confined Baggio and his family to a room while they looted valuables like jewellery, watches, and cash, which reportedly lasted for about 40 minutes.
Fortunately, although Baggio was taken to the hospital for medical attention, his injuries were not severe, and none of his family members were harmed during the incident.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Baggio had a brief altercation with one of the robbers, resulting in a deep wound to his forehead. Despite being scared, Baggio managed to break free from the locked room and alerted the authorities after the robbers fled the scene.
