Four-Storey Hotel Building Collapses in Abuja, Trapping Many
Many people were trapped when a four-storey building attached to the Westbrook Hotel in the Garki area of Abuja collapsed on Monday night. The hotel is reportedly owned by a former governor from a southeastern state.
An eyewitness, speaking to PUNCH Online anonymously, indicated that there could be casualties. "I saw two trapped individuals being pulled from the rubble and taken to the hospital," he said. "There is a possibility that more people are still inside the collapsed building, potentially dead. Rescue operations are ongoing, but the emergency responders are not yet coordinated for efficient operations."
Efforts to locate and save any remaining survivors continue as authorities work to manage the chaotic scene.
