Georgia mom mauled to death by pack of ‘aggressive dogs’ that targeted her kids — days before Mother’s Day
A tragic incident unfolded outside a Georgia middle school, where a mother was fatally attacked by a pack of dogs while waiting with her three children at a bus stop, just days before Mother's Day.
Courtney Williams, 35, was tragically found dead in a nearby yard as the dogs pounced on her family on Thursday, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI). Upon arrival, deputies encountered aggressive dogs at the scene.
Williams' children were rushed to the hospital for injuries, with her son sustaining multiple lacerations after bravely facing the dogs to protect his younger sister. "Kayden pushed sissy out of harm's way, saving her but enduring the dogs' attack himself," shared Williams' sister-in-law Crystal Cox on Facebook. Cox also shared distressing images depicting Kayden's deep wounds on his arms, legs, and head.
Another son sought help from within the school, where a compassionate individual, referred to as "an angel" by Cox, intervened to fend off the dogs and transport the injured children to the hospital.
While the specific breed of the dogs remains undisclosed, neighbors expressed concerns about the lack of animal control in the area, noting instances of stray dogs being dumped. This tragedy struck especially hard given its proximity to Mother's Day, leaving the family to celebrate the occasion without their beloved mother.
The GBI is conducting an autopsy to determine the exact cause of Williams' untimely death, shedding light on a heart-wrenching incident that has deeply affected the community and left a family mournin
