Actor Jonathan Majors admitted to assaulting his ex-girlfriend, professional dancer Grace Jabbari, in an audio recording from September 2022. The recording, which surfaced recently, captures Majors acknowledging his actions following an alleged physical altercation while the couple was living in London.

In the recording, Majors is heard saying, “I’ve never aggressed a woman before. I aggressed you.” When Jabbari responds, “You strangled me and pushed me against the car,” Majors confirms, “Yes, all those things are under ‘aggressed,’ yeah.”

The incident was part of a series of altercations detailed in legal documents. Jabbari previously accused Majors of attacking her during a prolonged dispute, claiming he slammed her against a car, dragged her inside, and strangled her. Court filings describe the actor placing Jabbari in a headlock, covering her mouth to silence her screams, and hitting her head against the floor while strangling her. Majors later sent text messages urging her not to seek medical attention, warning of potential legal consequences.

Majors was convicted in December 2023 of reckless assault in the third degree and harassment in connection to a separate incident in March 2023. He was acquitted of the more serious charges of intentional assault and aggravated harassment. The court barred any prior allegations of abuse from being presented at trial. Jabbari’s lawsuit, which included claims of assault, battery, and defamation, was settled in November 2023.

Following his conviction, Majors was ordered to complete a 52-week domestic violence intervention program. Despite the allegations and legal outcomes, he continues to receive industry support. In a recent interview, Majors refrained from addressing specific accusations but emphasized personal growth, stating, “Have a struggle, learn, metabolize, grow.”

Several industry figures, including Michael B. Jordan and Whoopi Goldberg, have publicly praised Majors' talent, expressing hope for his return to Hollywood. However, some of his ex-girlfriends, including Maura Hooper, who has accused him of emotional abuse, have voiced frustration over his lack of direct accountability, with Hooper stating, “I don’t see redemption happening here.”

Majors has consistently denied allegations of physical abuse, asserting in a televised interview that he has “never hit a woman.”
