Justin Timberlake was ‘wasted’ and drinking other people’s drinks at Hamptons hotel before DWI bust: witness
Justin Timberlake was reportedly "wasted" before his DWI arrest on Tuesday, even drinking someone else's beverage at a posh Sag Harbor hotel, according to a witness.
"He was wasted," a source told The Post, describing the scene at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor, Long Island, in the early hours. "At one point, just before closing, somebody got up to go to the bathroom and left his drink on the table. When [the man] came back, [Timberlake] was drinking his drink."
The witness recounted the owner's reaction, "The guy goes, 'Justin, that's my drink!'"
The 43-year-old singer was later stopped by police and charged with driving while intoxicated, running a stop sign, and improper lane usage in his 2025 gray BMW.
Timberlake claimed he had just "one martini, and I followed my friends home" but refused a Breathalyzer test three times, according to court documents. Wearing white Nike Air Force 1 sneakers, he failed multiple field sobriety tests, the papers said.
The arresting officer, too young to recognize the former boy-band star, did not know Timberlake's name, sources added.
At one point, Timberlake was overheard muttering, "This is going to ruin the tour." The singer is currently on a world tour with upcoming dates at Madison Square Garden.
His wife, actress Jessica Biel, was in Manhattan filming a movie at the time of the arrest. The couple has two young sons.
