Kanye West Breaks Silence Amid Divorce from Bianca Censori with Cryptic Post
Kanye West has spoken out for the first time following news of his split from Bianca Censori, posting a cryptic and unsettling message on Instagram before quickly deleting it.
The rapper, 47, whose breakup with Censori, 30, shared a post defining the term coercion just an hour after news of their divorce surfaced.
Captioned "Is the coercion," the post read:
"Yes, coercion is illegal. Coercion is the act of forcing someone to do something against their will through threats or intimidation. It can involve physical harm, psychological abuse, extortion, blackmail, or sexual assault."
The post vanished within minutes, leaving fans speculating about its meaning and whether it was directed at his estranged wife.
Reports suggest that Kanye and Bianca are heading for divorce just 11 days after her controversial, nearly-nude appearance at the Grammys. It’s believed they have verbally agreed that she will receive a $5 million payout following their short-lived marriage, which began in December 2022.
A source close to the rapper confirmed that the couple has now separated and expects legal filings to follow in the coming days. Censori is reportedly staying at their $35 million mansion in Beverly Park North, Los Angeles, while West’s whereabouts remain uncertain. Some believe he may return to Tokyo, Japan, where he spent much of last year living in a hotel.
Censori looked visibly uncomfortable during her Grammys red carpet appearance on February 2, when Kanye instructed her to drop her fur coat, allegedly telling her to "make a scene." Despite this, she complied. Friends of the rapper insist the stunt was intended as "art" and was inspired by the upcoming cover of Vultures 2.
The following day, Kanye posted on X (formerly Twitter):
"My wife’s first red carpet opened a whole new world. I keep staring at this photo like I was staring in admiration that night, thinking, wow, I am so lucky to have a wife that is so smart, talented, brave, and hot."
He continued:
"She took a break from shooting her first film to make a movie in real life. We tailored that invisible dress six times. And just like magic—poof—we disappeared."
Representatives for both Kanye and Bianca have yet to comment on the split.
