Kendrick Lamar, the "Not Like Us" rapper and the first solo rap artist to headline the Super Bowl halftime show, stunned fans by bringing out SZA and Serena Williams—two women with past ties to his former rival, Drake.

SZA joined Lamar onstage to perform their collaborations "Luther" from his latest album GNX and "All the Stars" from the Black Panther soundtrack. Meanwhile, tennis icon Serena Williams made a surprise appearance during "Not Like Us," crip walking to the beat of Lamar’s No. 1 hit.

Both women share a history with Drake, whom Lamar feuded with in a series of scathing diss tracks last year. SZA briefly dated Drake in the late 2000s, a relationship she later described as “so childish.” Meanwhile, Williams and Drake were romantically linked in 2015, with the rapper allegedly confirming their relationship in leaked studio footage in 2024.

Following the performance, Williams fueled speculation about Lamar’s guest choices by posting on Instagram: "Let's go Super Bowl halftime??! I died a little! 💃🏿"
