Kristoffer Olsson: Sweden midfielder suffering several small blood clots on brain
Sweden's midfielder Kristoffer Olsson, 28, is facing health challenges with small blood clots in his brain, as disclosed by his club Midtjylland.
This condition stems from an uncommon inflammation in the vessels of his brain. Olsson was admitted to the hospital on February 20 after losing consciousness at home and had to be put on a ventilator.
Midtjylland reassured that Olsson's condition is stable according to medical experts, and they're observing gradual improvements in his consciousness.
While doctors plan to gradually remove him from the ventilator, he remains in intensive care. However, the duration and outcome of his treatment are still uncertain.
Olsson, who started his career with Arsenal's youth academy and later joined Midtjylland in 2014-15, has represented Sweden in 47 senior matches.
His previous clubs include AIK in Sweden, Krasnodar in Russia, and Anderlecht in Belgium.
