Man Arrested for Brutal Attack on Bride-to-Be in Texas

The man accused of attacking a bride-to-be outside a Texas club during her bachelorette party has been arrested. Trevon Woodards, 27, was taken into custody on Friday after being identified as the assailant in the March 22 attack on 27-year-old Canada Rinaldi, just four weeks before her wedding.
Rinaldi, a resident of Oklahoma, had been celebrating her bachelorette party in Dallas when the night took a violent turn, leaving her with a broken nose, three broken teeth, and eight stitches on her face. Woodards, who was recently granted parole, has an extensive criminal history, including charges of assaulting a police officer, misdemeanor assault, and burglary.

According to reports, Woodards punched Rinaldi, causing her to fall face-first to the ground and lose consciousness. Dash cam footage from a passing Uber captured Rinaldi’s bridesmaid, Kelly Peralta, attempting to intervene, only to be punched as well. Woodards fled the scene before police arrived.
Covered in blood and disoriented, Rinaldi was rushed to the hospital, where she received treatment for her severe injuries. In the aftermath of the attack, she now faces more than $10,000 in medical expenses. A GoFundMe page has been created to help alleviate the financial burden, stating, "She is now trying to heal—not only physically, but emotionally and financially—when she should be counting down the days to her wedding."

Rinaldi expressed the emotional toll the attack has taken on her, saying, "It just feels like a lot of my experiences were taken away from me. I feel like I'm not excited to plan my wedding anymore." Before the incident, she had described the trip as "the best of her life," a sentiment that was shattered in an instant.
Despite the trauma, Rinaldi is trying to remain optimistic as her wedding day approaches. "I'm getting there, I'll be okay, but it's hard. But I'll be okay," she stated. Authorities have not yet released a possible motive for the attack.
