Michael Farchi, 62, alleges that a scorpion sting to his testicles during a stay at the Venetian’s Palazzo Tower in Las Vegas has irreparably damaged his sex life. The incident occurred over the 2023 Christmas holiday when Farchi was awakened by a sharp pain in his groin, which he described as feeling "like sharp glass."

According to a lawsuit filed on August 27, Farchi suffered multiple stings to his groin and hand, leading to severe physical and emotional trauma. The suit, obtained by Las Vegas news outlet 8 News Now, claims that the poisonous sting has left Farchi with PTSD and ongoing erectile dysfunction, significantly impacting his family life and career.

Farchi recounted the distressing experience, stating that hotel staff did not take his complaints seriously. "They were holding their groin area and laughing. It was really embarrassing," he said in an interview with 8 News Now.

The legal complaint also includes a claim for loss of consortium from Farchi's wife, asserting that their sex life has been adversely affected since the incident.

Farchi, who checked out of the hotel early on December 27, 2023, later discovered the scorpion clinging to his underwear. Attorney Brian Virag, representing the Farchi family, noted that there was ongoing construction at the hotel at the time and that management was allegedly aware of an infestation of poisonous scorpions.

"When you have a scorpion in a guest room, in a guest’s bed, it really doesn’t matter so much how it got there—the fact that it was there," Virag stated.
