Man Stabs 18-Year-Old to Death After Coming Home and Finding Him in Bed with His Wife

A 41-year-old Tennessee man has been arrested and charged with criminal homicide after allegedly killing an 18-year-old he discovered in bed with his wife. The suspect, identified as Jonathan Belk of Dunlap, is accused of fatally stabbing Billy J. Floyd in the early hours of Saturday morning before attempting to dispose of the body.
According to police reports, Belk also attacked his wife, Jada Gholston, who survived the stabbing and was treated for her injuries at a local hospital. Following the attack, Belk allegedly placed Floyd’s body in a trash can, where it was later found in the fetal position.
Authorities arrived at the scene to find Belk standing in his doorway, reportedly covered in blood. He was also found with wounds on his body. During questioning, he allegedly expressed concern about his marriage following the incident, telling investigators, "I am worried about my relationship with my wife due to the fact that I offed him."
Belk was taken into custody and now faces multiple charges, including criminal homicide.
Floyd was remembered in his obituary as someone who enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding four-wheelers, and working with his hands. A fundraiser has been launched to assist his family with funeral expenses.
