Michelle Obama says Barack wanted a third child

Michelle Obama recently shared insights into her family life and decision to stay out of politics, revealing that while her husband, former President Barack Obama, was open to having a third child, she was firm in wanting to keep their family at four.
Speaking on a podcast, the former first lady recounted how Barack suggested expanding their family beyond their two daughters, Malia, 26, and Sasha, 23. She dismissed the idea, feeling content and grateful for their children.
Reflecting on motherhood, she spoke about the emotions she experienced after giving birth, describing a deep connection with her babies and an immediate sense of responsibility. She also remarked that Barack was well-suited to being a father to daughters, joking that he needed strong women around him.
Michelle Obama also addressed speculation about her potential entry into politics, reaffirming her decision not to run for president. She emphasized her commitment to protecting her daughters' privacy and allowing them to build their own lives outside of the public spotlight.
She highlighted the sacrifices children make when their parents are in high-profile positions, recalling the intense scrutiny Malia and Sasha faced while growing up in the White House. Since leaving Washington, both daughters have pursued higher education, with Malia graduating from Harvard University and Sasha from the University of Southern California.
