Mississippi Woman Sentenced to Four Years in Jail for Engaging in Unnatural Acts with a Dog
A Mississippi woman, Denise Frazier, 21, has been sentenced to four years in jail after being convicted of unnatural intercourse involving a dog.
Frazier was arrested in Hattiesburg in 2024 and charged with one count of attempted unnatural intercourse and one count of unnatural intercourse. On January 24, a judge sentenced her to four years in prison, along with five years of probation and a fine of $2,615.51.
The disturbing case came to light after videos surfaced showing Frazier engaging in the sickening act. According to WJTV, multiple dogs appeared in separate videos, and they have since been rescued and provided veterinary care.
"This sentencing is a step toward justice, but the fight isn't over—we are still pushing for full accountability in Jones County, where Frazier's abuse first came to light," said Doll Stanley, senior campaigner for the Justice for Animals program at In Defense of Animals.
This is not Frazier's first offense. She was previously arrested in another Mississippi county in 2023, at age 19, for the same crime.
Authorities were alerted after a disturbing Snapchat video surfaced in February 2023, allegedly showing her engaging in unnatural intercourse with a male canine. A concerned resident flagged the video to local authorities, leading to her arrest on aggravated cruelty charges.
Sergeant JD Carter of the Jones County Sheriff's Department described the case as "one of the most disturbing cases I’ve ever investigated in my 17 years in law enforcement."
"JCSD is in possession of several videos that are so graphic that we are not at liberty to release them or even discuss the particular content," Carter added. "The investigation into this case is far from over."
Frazier reportedly admitted to being the person in the videos but claimed she was forced into committing the acts. However, police stated there is no evidence supporting that claim, though investigations are ongoing.
According to the Laurel Leader-Call, she told police she had been "threatened to do it" and that "people pay [her]" for the videos.
Authorities believe more videos may have been filmed in other counties and have alerted nearby sheriff's departments.
The dogs involved in the case were seized from the residence where she was arrested and taken to a local animal hospital. One of the dogs was a German shepherd that Frazier referred to as a "service dog."
