Angela Chao, CEO of Foremost Groups, tragically drowned in her Tesla after accidentally reversing into a pond on her Texas ranch. Attempts to rescue her were hindered by the car's strengthened glass windows and sunroof, which proved nearly impossible to break.

According to reports, Chao, aged 50, had been driving from her ranch to the guesthouse when she inadvertently reversed her Tesla into a pond. Despite calling for help, rescuers faced significant challenges in accessing the submerged vehicle.

Emergency responders arrived 24 minutes after the distress call, but the vehicle was completely submerged. Dive teams and a tow truck were eventually deployed, though initial attempts were hindered by logistical issues.

After being pulled from the water, Chao was unresponsive. Efforts to resuscitate her were unsuccessful, and she was declared deceased at the scene.

The incident is now under investigation by the Blanco County Sheriff's Office as a potential criminal matter, though details regarding any criminal activity have not been disclosed.
