Justice Tanze Benjamin Makama, recently appointed as a judge at the Nasarawa State High Court of Justice, has sadly passed away.


Appointed to the High Court of Justice in Nasarawa State on December 29, 2023, Justice Makama's tenure was cut short by his untimely demise on Tuesday. His passing is a loss felt deeply within the legal community and beyond.


Nuhu J. Egya, Chairman of the Keffi branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), conveyed heartfelt condolences to Justice Makama's family, Chief Judge of Nasarawa State, Justice Aisha Bashir-Aliyu, and the entire judiciary. The legal fraternity mourns the loss of a respected colleague and jurist.


Justice Makama's dedication to the legal profession was evident throughout his career, including his tenure as chairman of the Lafia branch of the NBA. His contributions to the legal community leave a lasting legacy, and he will be remembered fondly by those who knew him.
