A New Jersey woman has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged murder-for-hire plot to kill her ex-boyfriend and his teenage daughter, according to law enforcement authorities. Jaclyn Diiorio, 26, of Runnemede, is accused of attempting to solicit a man she met on the dating app Tinder to carry out the killings in exchange for $12,000.
The intended target was a 53-year-old officer with the Philadelphia Police Department, who had previously been in a relationship with Diiorio. The officer’s 19-year-old daughter was also reportedly included in the murder plot. According to a criminal complaint filed in Camden County, Diiorio expressed a desire for both individuals to be killed, making multiple statements via phone and text messages to the man she had met online.
Authorities were alerted to the plan on April 4 after the Tinder match contacted police to report Diiorio’s request. According to the complaint, the pair first met in person on March 31 at a Wawa convenience store in Runnemede. Over the next several days, Diiorio allegedly discussed details of the plot and confirmed her willingness to pay for the murders.
On April 4, Diiorio and the man met again in Gloucester Township, where she allegedly gave him $500 in cash as an upfront payment toward the $12,000 agreement. Following the exchange, Diiorio was taken into custody by Gloucester Township Police and later booked into the Camden County Correctional Facility.
Diiorio faces multiple charges, including one count of first-degree conspiracy to commit murder, two counts of first-degree attempted murder, and one count of third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
Investigators interviewed the Philadelphia police officer identified as the intended target, who confirmed that he had ended a relationship with Diiorio on March 6. He also informed authorities that his home had previously been vandalized by a Molotov cocktail in September 2022. Additionally, Diiorio had filed a temporary restraining order against him during the summer of 2024, which was later dropped.
A detention hearing for Diiorio is scheduled for Wednesday. It remains unclear whether she has posted bail.
