New York A man is dead after jumping from the Imperial House in Lenox Hill in an apparent suicide
A 26-year-old man died on Friday after falling from a luxury Manhattan co-op in an apparent suicide, according to police.
The young man was discovered in the rear courtyard of the Imperial House on East 69th Street off Lexington Avenue in Lenox Hill around 7:40 p.m.
He had injuries consistent with falling from a height, as reported by the NYPD.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police stated that foul play was not suspected.
It wasn’t immediately clear from which floor of the 30-story building the man fell. Realtors describe the Imperial House as "among the finest, most desirable white glove co-operatives combining elegance and service."
A two-bed, two-bathroom co-op is listed for $1,900,000, while adding another bedroom and bathroom increases the price to $3,495,000, according to listings.
The late actress Joan Crawford resided at the Imperial House, then an apartment building, from 1968 until her death in 1977.
