Nigerian Businessman Alleges Conspiracy After Daughter’s Tragic Suicide and Hastened Cremation in the UK

Nigerian businessman Oladapo Ogundipe has expressed grave concerns over the circumstances surrounding the suicide of his daughter, Alanis, and the subsequent cremation of her body before a forensic autopsy could be conducted.

Alanis Ogundipe, a 26-year-old accountant, reportedly took her life by jumping in front of a moving train at a Manchester station on May 29, 2023. Her father claims she was driven to this tragic act due to blackmail by her boyfriend, Ryan Leggetts, who allegedly accessed her phone and threatened to expose private information.

Oladapo Ogundipe stated that his daughter’s body was cremated swiftly, a decision he believes was influenced by his wife, Josephine, and their family lawyer. He suspects this was an attempt to cover up evidence.

“At the time I reported Alanis’ boyfriend to the police on June 14, 2023, I mentioned my concerns about Josephine’s actions,” Ogundipe told PUNCH Metro. “She was acting suspiciously, pressuring me to allow the cremation before any criminal investigation and a forensic autopsy could be carried out. As soon as she received Alanis’ body, Josephine hurried to burn it before any forensic postmortem could take place.”

Ogundipe further claimed that Josephine’s justification for the hasty cremation was to ensure a respectful farewell for Alanis. However, he questioned the necessity of such urgency, especially since an initial basic autopsy revealed nothing suspicious.

The bereaved father also shared his frustration at being prevented from questioning Ryan during a coroner’s inquest, an action he attributes to the influence of his wife and their lawyer. He believes there was a coordinated effort to manipulate and harm Alanis, ultimately leading to her death.

“I have made allegations of murder and manslaughter against Ryan because he inflicted emotional and psychological injury upon Alanis from August 1, 2022, until her death on May 29, 2023,” Ogundipe said. He claims that Ryan’s actions, including infecting her with a virus and stealing sensitive information to blackmail her, contributed to her suicide.

Ogundipe is calling on UK police authorities to reopen the case and conduct a thorough investigation. “If the police do not wish to investigate, then a private legal team will take up the case since there is no time limit for prosecution of crimes such as murder and manslaughter,” he stated.

The tragic death of Alanis Ogundipe has left her family seeking justice and answers, as they navigate the complexities and suspicions surrounding her untimely demise.
