Nigerian Woman Caught Smuggling Cocaine Worth ₹ 82 Crore At Delhi Airport

New Delhi: Customs officials at the international airport apprehended a Nigerian woman on Tuesday for allegedly smuggling cocaine as per an official statement released on Thursday.

The suspect was detained upon her arrival from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. During a comprehensive search of her baggage, officials discovered concealed material within two blue-colored trolley bags. Further examination revealed a total of 5.8 kg of a white powdery substance suspected to be narcotics.

A diagnostic test indicated the presence of a commercial quantity of cocaine. The passenger was promptly arrested, and the seized narcotic was confiscated.

Customs at IGI Airport, acting on specific intelligence, arrested the Nigerian passenger under the NDPS Act, 1985. The detained individual had concealed 5.88 kg of cocaine in her bags.
