One of the US Army's biggest ever sex abuse cases: High-ranking military doctor is accused of DOZENS of sex attacks on male soldiers

Major Michael Stockin, a pain doctor, is facing 47 sexual assault charges in a case that would be one of the biggest of its kind in the US Army's history

A high-ranking military doctor faces 47 sexual assault charges after allegedly assaulting numerous male soldiers at a Washington state US army base.

Major Michael Stockin, a pain doctor, stands accused of groping dozens of soldiers under the guise of conducting sensory exams during their treatment at the Joint Base Lewis McChord’s (JBLM) Madigan Army Medical Center. This case, reported by Fox13, could become one of the largest sexual assault cases in the US Army's history.

According to Ryan Guilds, a lawyer representing several victims, the delay in the trial, likely until next year, has added to the emotional strain his clients are enduring as they grapple with the aftermath of the assaults.

Dozens of male soldiers who were treated by Stockin at the Joint Base Lewis McChord’s (JBLM) Madigan Army Medical Center say they were abused

Charging documents allege that Stockin attempted to justify the sexual abuse by claiming it served a "medical purpose," as detailed by CBS News. In a February interview, two alleged victims spoke anonymously, expressing their betrayal by the doctor's breach of trust.

One soldier recounted how Stockin allegedly sexually assaulted him three times during a visit for shoulder pain, describing the doctor's inappropriate touching of his genitals. Another victim, a Command Sergeant Major, shared how the experience had caused emotional trauma, making it difficult even to discuss with his spouse.

Stockin, who previously worked at other army facilities in DC and Hawaii, did not enter a plea during a court appearance in February but reserves the right to do so later. His attorney, Robert Capovilla, has vowed to vigorously defend Stockin against all allegations, emphasizing the importance of a fair judicial process despite media scrutiny.
