PAUL PIERCEL.A. HOME BURGLARIZED$100K Cash, Watches Stolen

Paul Pierce is the latest celebrity to be affected by Los Angeles' burglary wave. The former NBA superstar's residence was burglarized on Friday night, with the thieves making off with luxury watches and over $100k in cash.

According to law enforcement sources speaking to TMZ Sports, the 46-year-old 10-time NBA All-Star's home was targeted when he was not present, resulting in the theft of a substantial amount of valuable belongings.

The stolen items included high-end watches, a six-figure sum in cash, and a safe that authorities are currently attempting to locate.

Regarding the ongoing investigation, police have been reviewing surveillance footage from the area in hopes of uncovering crucial evidence to solve the case. No arrests have been reported thus far.

While Pierce is the latest victim, he is certainly not the first prominent figure to experience such violations in the City of Angels. Burglaries targeting celebrities have been a longstanding issue, with notable names like Post Malone, Bella Thorne, Yasiel Puig, Rihanna, Quentin Tarantino, Drake, and numerous others falling prey to similar incidents.

The LAPD has previously mentioned the presence of "burglary tourists" from South America who specifically travel to Los Angeles to target lavish homes. These criminal rings often employ sophisticated methods like signal jammers to bypass security systems.

It remains unclear whether one of these organized groups is responsible for the burglary at Pierce's residence. The retired basketball star, known as "The Truth" and a Basketball Hall of Famer, enjoyed a successful 19-season career in the NBA, boasting impressive averages of nearly 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists per game. Pierce notably clinched an NBA championship with the Celtics in 2008.
