Priest jailed after man collapsed from too many erectile drugs at cleric’s sex party
A Polish priest has been sentenced to 18 months in jail for sex and drug crimes following an incident where a man collapsed during an orgy at his residence.
Reports from Polish media indicate that the victim had consumed an excessive amount of erectile dysfunction pills. Emergency services were called, but upon their arrival, they were initially denied entry until the police intervened, allowing them to provide assistance.
The priest, identified as Tomasz Z, was convicted for sexual offenses, drug distribution, and failing to aid a person in critical condition.
Additionally, he was instructed to compensate the victim with 15,000 zlotys (£3,000) in damages and contribute several thousand zlotys to a fund for crime victims. The trial was conducted in private, as reported by state news agency PAP, which also suggested that there would be no appeal.
The Diocese of Sosnowiec in southwest Poland has faced significant turmoil since the revelation of the sex party in Dabrowa Gornicza in 2023. Bishop Grzegorz Kaszak resigned from his position, although the Vatican did not provide a specific reason for his departure. Tomasz Z was formally dismissed from the clergy following the media exposé.
Efforts to obtain a comment from the diocese’s press office were made but remained unanswered.
