Prophet Ebuka Obi Reacts After Woman's Alleged Fake Testimony in Zion Ministry
Prophet Ebuka Obi of Zion Prayer Movement Outreach has responded after a woman was exposed for giving a false testimony in his ministry, claiming she bought a house worth ₦500 million.
Months after her testimony, the woman was spotted selling drinks in a small shop, sparking accusations that Ebuka Obi pays people to give false testimonies. While his members defended him, insisting he was unaware of the deception, critics questioned why he, as a prophet, could not discern the lie despite claiming to see visions.
Reacting on Sunday, March 2, Ebuka Obi denied any personal connection to the woman, accusing her of lying against God and the church’s altar. He stated that it had been revealed to him that his name would "shake the media" over something that would appear real but was actually fake.
“The only day He said to me that my name will be on the media was on the 4th of last month. Go and watch the program. In the evening, I said it—that the media would be shaking, that it will be as if it's real, but it’s fake."
He also vowed to trace the woman and uncover the truth behind the testimony scandal.
Additionally, he alleged that some clergymen from the East had sponsored blogs to publish the story to tarnish his reputation.
**“This is for Zion people, not for those that are paying some bloggers. I heard that clergymen over there in the East and here sponsored the blogger. What are you doing, blogger? Did I know her? Did any member know her? She came to testify, just like hundreds of others do every day.
"So, if the house she claimed to own is fake, then she is the one who lied before God and His altar, not the ministry."**
