Angela Bofill, the renowned R&B singer behind hits like "This Time I'll Be Sweeter" and "Angel of the Night," has passed away at the age of 70. Her representative confirmed the sad news on Friday, June 14, revealing that she died on Thursday morning at her daughter's residence in Vallejo, Calif.

The news of her passing was also shared on Bofill's official Facebook page, with details about her upcoming funeral at St. Dominick's Church in California on June 28.


This news comes after Bofill faced a death hoax in 2020, which she debunked in a lighthearted manner during an interview with Essence magazine. Despite health challenges, including two strokes in 2006 and 2007, Bofill remained resilient and continued to share her love for performing and music.
