Renowned photographer Ellen von Unwerth has introduced a new exhibition that displays highly provocative photographs of celebrities like Rihanna, Kate Moss, and Demi Moore posing almost nude.

The German photographer, who has worked with magazines such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, Playboy, I-D, and The Face, among others, is presenting the collection, titled The Provocateur, at the Staley-Wise Gallery in New York City.

The steamy images, most of which have 'never been seen before,' were captured throughout her long career and feature a range of famous faces flaunting their impressive figures.

One photo from 2014 shows Rihanna standing topless in white briefs in a shower. The singer, aged 36, is holding her briefs open, water spraying on her lower body while her arm covers her chest.

Another photo, taken in 1995, shows Kate, aged 50, gazing seductively at the camera without a shirt. She's wrapped in a towel around her waist, with her hands covering her breasts.

A third image from 2004 depicts model Elle Macpherson seated on a toilet, completely nude. The now-60-year-old model looks shocked, mouth agape, holding a roll of toilet paper over her chest.

Another picture shows actress Demi, aged 61, lounging on a couch in lingerie and fishnet tights while a man places a mask on her face, from a 1996 shot.

A 2005 photo features Zoë Kravitz, leaning over a bowl while wearing a black mask.

Other stars highlighted in the alluring gallery include David Bowie, Karl Lagerfeld, Christy Turlington, Linda Evangelista, and Cara Delevingne.

'The photographs depict a liberated and unrestrained interaction with her subjects, a style the photographer has advocated throughout her career,' reads a description.

'These exhibition images showcase a playful provocateur. Not merely objects of desire but playful instigators, innocent yet mischievous.

Other photos show various models dancing nude on a table and lifting their tops to reveal their breasts.

In another photo, one woman pulls up another's skirt to display her thong.

Another depicts Christy and Linda reclining on lounge chairs in Cannes in 1990, legs intertwined.

One image features two Playboy bunnies looking into a mirror, adjusting their makeup, with their backsides prominent.

'I understand how it feels when you're really uncomfortable, so I make every effort to help them feel comfortable - to live, laugh, and move,' Ellen said of the exhibition.

Ellen began her career as a model, scouted at age 20 while walking down a street in Germany. She transitioned to photography after a successful seven-year modeling stint.

In 1989, she gained fame for capturing images of a young Claudia Schiffler.

Aside from fashion shoots and magazine covers, she has photographed numerous album covers for artists like Christina Aguilera, Dido, Britney Spears, Rihanna, and Janet Jackson.
