Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs seen kicking, dragging and physically assaulting ex Cassie in CCTV footage

Footage from 2016 shows Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs physically assaulting Cassie Ventura

Surveillance footage from 2016 has been revealed showing Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs physically assaulting his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.

The video, obtained by CNN, shows the rapper, 54, kicking, dragging, and throwing an object at Ventura. This revelation comes months after Combs was accused of raping and physically abusing his ex-partner over ten years.

The lawsuit, filed in November, includes a trigger warning due to the extreme nature of the allegations, which claim that Combs beat Ventura, plied her with drugs, and forced her to have sex with male prostitutes while he filmed.

In a lawsuit filed in November, Combs was accused of raping and physically abusing Ventura over a period of ten years

Ventura, who was 19 when she met Combs, alleged she was raped in her own home after trying to leave him and endured over a decade of his violent behavior and disturbing demands. She later stated: "I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control. I want to thank my family, fans, and lawyers for their unwavering support."

The footage shows Combs grabbing, shoving, dragging, and kicking Ventura in a hotel. The video includes multiple camera angles from March 5, 2016, and appears to show the then-couple at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles.

In the video, Ventura is seen leaving a hotel room and heading towards the elevators, followed by Combs, who is wearing a towel around his waist. He then grabs her and throws her to the floor, kicks her, grabs her purse and bag, and kicks her again as she lies on the floor. Ventura then puts her hand where he kicked her on her leg. Four seconds elapse between the two kicks. Combs is then seen dragging Ventura by her sweatshirt back towards their hotel room.

Ventura is later shown returning to the elevator area, picking up a hotel phone. Combs follows her back and shoves her into a corner before throwing an object, reportedly a glass vase, taken from a nearby table at her.

The incident is noted in the lawsuit, which claims Combs was "extremely intoxicated" and punched Ventura in the face, giving her a black eye. The lawsuit also alleges that Combs controlled many aspects of Ventura's life, including her career and personal details such as medical records. It claims she had an MRI scan for memory loss, possibly caused by a beating from Combs, with the results sent directly to him.

Ventura’s lawsuit states she has required intensive medical and psychological care to recover from the trauma and is seeking justice for a decade of threats of violence, excessive drug use, physical and psychological abuse, and sexual slavery.

Combs denied the allegations at the time of the lawsuit

Combs' lawyer said that Combs vehemently denies the allegations, calling them "offensive and outrageous" and claiming Ventura had demanded $30 million to prevent writing a damaging book about their relationship. He described this as blatant blackmail, asserting that the lawsuit is filled with lies intended to tarnish Combs' reputation.

Ventura’s lawyer responded to PA News Agency, stating Combs had offered Ventura eight figures to silence her and prevent the lawsuit, which she rejected. The lawyer commended Ventura's bravery and resilience in speaking up against the abuse.

Diddy has been hit with several lawsuits in the past few months

Following Ventura's initial lawsuit, more accusations against Combs emerged. One lawsuit accused him of drugging and date raping a college student and sharing a "revenge porn"-style video. Another lawsuit accused him of rape and assault, alleging he choked an anonymous woman until she passed out. A fourth lawsuit accused him of gang-raping a 17-year-old girl. Combs' representatives have denied all sexual assault allegations.
