Sharon Stone has revealed the identity of the film producer who allegedly pressured her to sleep with her co-star in the 1993 film Sliver to improve his acting performance.

The actor claimed that Robert Evans, the Hollywood mogul who headed production at Paramount and died in 2019, urged her to have sex with William Baldwin.

Stone had initially disclosed the incident in her 2021 memoir but without revealing the identities of those involved.

During an interview on the Louis Theroux podcast, Stone recounted how Evans suggested that her chemistry with Baldwin on screen would improve if they were intimate off-screen.

She explained: "[Evans] said if I could sleep with Billy, then we’d have chemistry on screen and save the movie. The real problem was me because I was so uptight, and not like a real actress who could just engage in intimate relations and get things back on track."

Stone, known for her roles in films like Total Recall, Basic Instinct, and Casino, believes that studio executives were responsible for casting decisions and unjust treatment of actors.

She expressed frustration over being labeled as difficult and not being offered significant roles after her Oscar-nominated performance in Martin Scorsese's 1995 film Casino.

According to Stone, director Francis Ford Coppola warned her that she wouldn't win an Oscar for her role, suggesting bias against her performance due to the industry's preferences.

Despite these challenges, Stone continued to work in films like Catwoman, Lovelace, and Basic Instinct 2, though she felt her efforts often went unnoticed.

Reflecting on the industry's treatment of women and the gender pay gap, Stone criticized the unequal treatment she faced compared to her male counterparts.

She recounted a moment of standing up for fair pay after the success of Basic Instinct, highlighting the pervasive issue of gender inequality in Hollywood.

Despite the obstacles, Stone transitioned to television roles and remained outspoken about gender discrimination and pay disparities in the industry.
