Shocking Footage Shows Delta Plane Bursting Into Flames, Flipping Over in Toronto Crash

Newly surfaced footage captures the terrifying moment a Delta Air Lines plane burst into flames and flipped over while landing at Toronto Pearson International Airport on Monday.
The dramatic video shows Delta Flight 4819 skidding on the snow-covered runway amid 40-mph winds, with massive flames erupting from the aircraft before turning into thick, black smoke. As the plane lost control, a witness can be heard panicking, exclaiming, “Oh f–k! Oh no no no no no!”
In another clip, a voice is heard calling air traffic control, frantically asking, “Tower, you’re seeing this plane just crashing?” Moments later, the aircraft tips onto its side, shearing off a wing before flipping upside down.
Despite the fiery crash, all 80 passengers and crew were safely evacuated. Eighteen people were hospitalized, though none sustained life-threatening injuries, officials confirmed.
Emergency responders swiftly arrived, battling flames engulfing parts of the wreckage. Footage shows firefighters dousing the overturned Bombardier CRJ-900LR with water as passengers escaped the smoldering plane.
While the exact cause of the crash remains unclear, Toronto Pearson Airport Fire Chief Todd Aitken noted that the runway was dry, and crosswinds were not a factor. Investigators are now working to determine how the Delta jet ended up flipping over on the runway.
